Chiropractic Evaluation & Treatment
- Initial Evaluation: 60 -90 minutes
- Follow-up visit: 45-60 minutes
Your experience with Dynamic Health & Performance will be different from the standard chiropractic experience you may have had. It all starts with a comprehensive evaluation.
Your initial visit will include:
- A comprehensive movement assessment (SFMA) looking at your body as a whole, in addition to individual areas including your location of complaints.
- A discussion of your medical and injury history and your goals for the future.
- An initiation of treatment
Follow up visits may include:
- Low force chiropractic adjustments
- Manual therapy
Movement Wellness Assessment:
Wellness means being proactive. You visit the dentist and your primary care physician every year but what about a check up to asses your movement wellness?
What if you don’t have pain? What if you want to run a little faster or squat a little heavier? Maybe you want to get rid of that tightness in a particular muscle.
A movement wellness visit then is the service for you. Using a combination of the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), the Y Balance test and a number of other tests specific to your needs. I can provide you a comprehensive picture of what your limiting factors are and how to address them.
The Functional Movement Screen measures 7 fundamental movement patterns to score each as optimal, acceptable, or dysfunctional. This allows us to look at your strengths and weaknesses and provide you with movement and training advice accordingly.
The Y Balance test is an objective measure of your ability to control your center of mass over your base of support while on one leg or arm. This test highlights asymmetries in movement, which are a known risk factor for injury.
There is much we do not know about injury prevention but what we do know is that if we can keep you feeling good and moving well then you are more likely to do it.
A comprehensive movement wellness visit will last 60-90 minutes and include a detailed report on your limitations with recommendations for your future focus. Subsequent movement visits can further address your needs and/or measure your progress.
